I was wondering if anyone has found it worth their time to start and/or join a weekly networking group? There are several out there like BNI, Leads and LaTip. These types of groups are suppose to hold people accountable for bringing leads, but I am sure this is not always the case. Is it worth the 1.5 hour weekly commitment.

know of many agents who do get deals from their relationships with these types of groups. Namely, BNI. The key is to work the group not just expect them to hand you leads. At the meetings network aggressively and make sure everyone knows that you are looking for leads for them. It seems to be better to get into an established group vs starting one.
Like most things, Networking Groups work when you do.
