I have a short sale for which I am trying to get approval from the mortgage company. They are not returning my phone calls. My client received a letter from a third party company stating that they have been "retained to foreclosure proceedings against the property". What do I do now?

Focus on the bank do not worry about the 3rd party.. until the foreclosure date your “client" owns the home and has the right to work out a resolution. Keep calling and be ready to be put on hold.

Here in GA we have 30 Days from DON so often my clients are getting speaking to me and the foreclosure attorney. I remind them until the day of foreclosure they own the house and the bank HAS to speak to them and therefore you.

The clock is ticking do not let go of the phone. Do not wait for them to call you.
