I finally received acceptance from the 2nd mortgage for a short sale. The 1st mortgage gave approval a while back. The problem is that the 1st gave acceptance with the stipulation that we close by the 12th of this month. We have been trying to get in contact with them to let them know that we would not be able to close on that date due to the 2nd. So now we have acceptance from both, but the original acceptance from 1st mortgage is basically expired. What now?

Get On The Phone With The Lost Mitigator Asap!! Inform Them And Fax Them The Approval From The Second-they Want To Do The Short Sale-they Would Have Never Agreed Before. Do Not Lose This Opportunity!!
If They Need To Sell Then You Have To Make This Work. Get In The Trenches!!

I agree get a manager on the phone. Jump up and down if you have to. They are trying to get it closed within some range. I am glad to see you are working the system. Stay focused and congrats on your hard work. It is paying off.
