Split the difference. Try for 3% and move on. You don't want to burn a bridge that you may need again some day! Mike

Maybe it would be better to refer it to an agent outside your company for 10-15% to preserve the total commission and for you to still get a referral fee.

What have you tried to negotiate? How have you negotiated YOUR worth in this deal and what the flip side is for the bank, potential foreclosure!!! I would fight for at least 5%, the bank isn't even taken that much of a loss at 98%. What bank is this, so the rest of us will have warning of what to expect. I'm not saying lose the deal, you might have to chaulk this up to a learning experience!

Someone Should Come Up With A Stipulation That Adresses This Reduction Affecting The Sales Price. Our Commission Keep Getting Hit In The Short Sale And We Do A Lot Of Work To Make It A Success.

Has anyone run into problems when the second agent is from the same brokerage?
