Can we use this forum to get contact information on the mitigation departments of lenders. Additionally can we also use it to get information on the "nature/disposition" of the lender. What prompted this is that I took a listing with ASC (America's Servicing Company) as the 1st mortgage & GMAC as the 2nd. I wasn't concerned about GMAC but I never heard of ASC. Not until I did an internet search. It seems ASC sets up these interest only loans as the 1st morgagor and let another lender take the 2nd. I'll stop there.
If we could develop that database of contact info and lender quality (from your experience) it might be helpful for us in figuring out solutions for our clients.
I talked with a parallegal of a RE attorney and she contacts the FDIC (1-888-206-4662) to get the contact info of lenders (also in their lender directory section of their website). But I think that's only a portion of all mortgage lenders.

An agent in my office spoke to a loan officer with countrywide and he told the agent that he had the number for the "Countrywide Short Sale Hotline" here it is: (800) 669-6650

I am working a SS right now where ASC holds the 2nd. This is the info that I have: Loss Mit. Dept. phone # 1-877-222-7875 then choose option 4. The address is as follows: ASC, Max 7801-03K, 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, SC 29715. Fax # is 1-866-590-8910. Attention:Barb.
Hope this helps! From everything that I read about ASC online, they are a very "interesting" company.

Thought I would share this one also. Homecomings Financial ( I believe it is a division of GMAC, but check first) Initially you will need to Fax Dee Baker (her direct line is 1-800-799-9250 x6383) the following: Contact info on both agents, the contract, est. HUD, workout package (should contain last 2 pay stubs and last 2 bank statements, I also sent the financial statement), and a pre-approval letter for buyers. Ms. Baker orders the BPO (by the way, I sent my own BPO, as well as articles from the paper with MUCH crime activity that has been taking place in this neighborhood).
THEN, I faxed and emailed SS package to Kelly Tutt at 1-800-211-3561. Address is 2711 Haskell Avenue, Suite 900, Dallas, TX 75204.
That's all I've got...hope that everyone shares what they have!
