If you could make just one recommendation to an agent regarding Internet Marketing, what would that be? Marsha:

There was a study done by the NAR that showed 70% of all buyers started their search on the net but virtually none of them found either their house or agent via the net. The net was merely the place where they gatherered info in the veeeeeeery early stages of buying.

these numbers are not exact but;

40% of the buyers/ sellers used their previous agent.
45% of the buyers/ sellers used an agent that was a referral from a trusted friend or advisor. They didnt personally know someone...they asked their Mom...Mom said call Marsha.
15% found their agent through an ad/ yellow pages...internet.

Bottom line is that even today nearly all consumers use the agents they knew or a referral from someone they know and trust.
Maybe the real question is...why focus on the 15% at all?
