I know that the Crockets are using Blogs in their business......anyone else. I came across a company that is selling blog platforms for agents to use. Seems to your humble admin that Blogs may be far better than merely having a web site. Anyone else have a thought or opinion on this...or even better...Dave Crocket care to enlighten us??

this is the company that I read about http://www.bloggingsystems.com
They offer turn key blogs for agents. For you pundints out there...no money is being exchanged for that plug.

Blogging offers us a unique opportunity to really capture our markets, protect our futures and grow our businesses. But, I think it takes a unique strategy in order to make it workable for working Realtors.

Rather than set up an individual blog, I had a blog galaxy built which is a one-stop launching pad for 20+ blogs, each of which operates independently but all contribute to the information on the blog. Essentially, it's the 'watering hole' for community information . . . one big 'Open House' with the entire community talking and sharing information with everyone else. It's called http://www.LakeCountyBlog.com.

If anyone wants my report "Strategy for Capturing the Real Estate Market through Blogging" please email me at David@TheCrockettTeam.com and I will email you the report. I will also send you hints and tips on getting started and all the information you will need to proceed.

This is the future and is the most cost effective thing you can do to protect and grow your business.

David

Pretty smart stuff for someone from Cleveland Ohio!

Does a Blog replace the need for a stand alone agent site...in your opinion? Could or should an agent use a blog vs a static site?

The blog site doesn't actually replace your website but works in concert with it. Each has its own goal but are linked to each other. Blog sites are more subtle in their approach to business . . but in many ways more effective. On another note, in Cleveland,:) all we have to day all day is think about stuff like this.
